It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 years since I opened my little studio space in Oak Grove. I grew up in a small town and knew I wanted my business to be a part of a small community, but when the chance to move to this space arose, I don’t think I could have ever anticipated how many opportunities this little town would offer me to do just that! This is my third year not only handing out candy for Trail For Treats, but also taking free costume photos for families to enjoy. This year I had over 250 visitors (and I swear the costumes keep getting better each year)! In addition to Trail For Treats I have been blessed with the opportunity to grab some photos of the homecoming parade for all to enjoy, meet other small business owners and join the Chamber of Commerce (and then become a board member) where I have been able to contribute by providing headshots for members as well as photograph the annual Gala and offer gift certificates for auctions and fund raisers. After years of feeling like a little fish in a big sea, I am so happy I have found my “Studio Home” in Oak Grove while still being close enough to the “big sea” to offer and enjoy all of the fabulous photography locations in and around KC.
