This has been a very full Senior season already and at some point while walking around with these High School Seniors and their parents (usually moms) it hit me. I could almost feel what these mamas were feeling. These sessions are just one of the many things they will be checking off their Senior year “To Do” list. And it is bittersweet. They are watching their children smile and pose for my camera and in their mind they may be imagining how it seemed like just yesterday they were getting their kindergarten school photos taken or even toddler portraits. But now they are these “almost adult” people…all grown up and leaving the nest soon.
I know this beautiful girl and her mom personally and know that this year will be a tough on mama. Although Dakota looks like a grown up, gorgeous young woman, she is also the baby of the family and the last one to leave the nest. I know she is off to accomplish great and exciting things though and this isn’t the end of anything…just a new and exciting chapter for her and her family!
